In this read me file you will find an instillation guide with links and a rough guide for things to do in the standalone.

EASY AUTOMATIC INSTALLER - SHOULD DO EVERYTHING FOR YOU.

MANUAL METHOD BELOW
1. Download: Click here
2. Extract it using your extractor of choice. I heavily advise extracting to a default C drive with the main folder called DFStandalone0.2, as that will mean you don't have to make many more changes.
3. Go to Build/All/Bin, open standalone.xml with text editor,
find lines 13, 26 and 28, that contain C:\DFStandalone0.2\... and replace it with the path your game was downloaded to, i.e.
<VMOption Value='-Djava.class.path=D:\Example\DF Standalone 0.2\'/>
...
<Logger Filename='D:\Example\DF Standalone 0.2\data\standalone_%InstanceID%.log' Type='FILE'/>
...
<FileManager ArchiveName='D:\Example\DF Standalone 0.2\data\dfdata' EnablePreload='false' LoadData='false' LookupMode='NativeOnly' ReportNameFixups='true' ReportNativeFallbacks='true'/>
4. Go to Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Environment Variables and make a new variable for BOTH user and system.
Variable name = SFBASE
Variable value = C:\DFStandalone0.2 (or what your directory is. No spaces)
5. Launch with RunStandalone_1048debug.bat file found in the root directory. It should launch a command prompt and then the game. Alternatively, launch with our early launcher DarkfallEmu.exe but do this ONLY if your directory is C:\DFStandalone0.2\, otherwise it won't work. Future versions should include a launcher that patches future updates.

How to move:
F7 - flymode toggle, Space to ascend, C to descend, LShift to boost
F8 - freecam toggle
Press Enter and type this command to get skills (like walking) working: /skill_add_all 100 - enter it twice, as there's too many skills to add in one go.
/help command for all commands, including admin and GM commands. Most work. A future guide on these commands are planned. Stay tuned on the forums.
#########################ADVANCED GUIDE########################
Use /gm_teleport_to_tile [TILE ID] to teleport to any tile. Find the tile ID by hovering over it with your mouse on the worldmap.
Use the /equip "r_resource name" command for adding items to your backpack. You can find the resources in data\dev\dfdata\xml-files\server\resource
Use /spawn_resource_mesh "r_resource name" to spawn the physical object, this includes most weapons, mobs and buildings. Use the resource names found in the resource folder.
Use /spawn_monster "r_resource name" - be aware you can only spawn one per session, and killing them will likely crash the game for this version. Try r_devil or r_demon if you want a punching bag, or r_bear arctic if you want to kill something.
Monsters spawn in tiles S18 to V21. Spawned monsters currently cause significant 'load lag' and it's quite annoying. You may want to turn these off, and here's how:

Also make sure that LINE 44 <CreateAIObjectSpaceManager> is false. Set these to TRUE if you want them back.
Type /help "command name" for a short explanation of the command. Type /help and the start of the command to get commands close to it, like /help spawn will list all commands starting with spawn.
To capture and build a city, you first need a clan. The clan GUI or journal is not yet made, but it's not needed yet. Type /clan_create NAT KRO (or whatever you want to name your clan). Then find your city, probably CBAY /gm_teleport_to_tile CC07, and type the command /city_create "city name". Use the clan shard in your inventory. Then type /equip "r_module building:10000" and alternative use the bindstone (G if it's default, J if its my bindings) and go crazy. There's a command for resetting the timer between conquests, but I can't remember it, so gso.
Villages and Sea Fort: Only village that works is Chilbourne (tile S21) and Sea Fortress is BurningGlory (tile R04). We know they work, getting them all to work is a low priority right now. It's just a matter of labour and time.
/village_create Chilbourne
/fortress_sea_create BurningGlory
*Player race, attributes, skills: data\dev\dfdata\xml-files\server\persistence\aventurine\character.xml*
*Player spawn position: data\dev\dfdata\xml-files\server\persistence\aventurine\clientobject.xml*
*(you can reference the ingame map for x,z coordinates and set the spawnpoint to the place you like)*

*(you can write r_Weapons to get *all* the weapons in the game, also r_Figurines/r_Armor/r_Greataxes etc.)*

(character creator does not save your character)*

#########################KNOWN BUGS & ISSUES#############################
-Sometimes you duplicate yourself (and your mount too if you're mounted)
-Mobs aren't doing anything, just idling
-Attacking mobs melee seems to be bugged the same way as attacking mounts is, ranged seems to work fine
-Game crashes after you kill a monster with broken inventory(from what I've figured it should contain natural weapons)
-Gravestones aren't solid and you cannot open them
-Some skills don't work, most notable Wall of Force.
