ok, i'm an idiot, i went to Build/All/Bin but the 'all' is a zip file not a folder, and am unable to open anything in the zip without extracting it, do i need to extract that to another folder or should i create an 'all' folder and extract to that?
edit: ok, i created a new file to test it out, named it All, extracted the 'all.zip' to that folder.
i followed the instructions and edited the standalone.xml as follows
<VMOption Value='-Djava.class.path='C:\DFOStandalone0.2\'/>
<Logger Filename='C:\DFOStandalone0.2\data\standalone_%InstanceID%.log' Type='FILE'/>
<FileManager ArchiveName='C:\DFOStandalone0.2\data\dfdata' EnablePreload='false' LoadData='false' LookupMode='NativeOnly' ReportNameFixups='true' ReportNativeFallbacks='true'/>
i could not find the emu file mentioned, but..
i ran the RunStandalone2.bat
the dos prompt came open, then closed after doing some things. then..
nothing happened.
I feel pretty certain that i've done everything correctly, as i named the folder dfostandalone0.2 as stated so that no other changes would be needed. do i need to add exceptions for anything to my antivirus?

Did you download the 12gb version or the corrupt 8gb version?
In the build folder there's a folder called All, and a file called All. Ignore the file, just go to the folder. If you have the corrupt version then it's broken, delete it and download the new version, which is in the Nat folder and is 12gb.

Hmm, not sure what to say. Likely the FTP going down. Does it resume where it left off?

Yes the ftp / direct download from darkfallonline.info is very unstable and for chrome users it fucks up the dl.
